    For the prompt “Mood and Color” I started by thinking of the correlation between the two words. Although they have very different meanings, colors allow individuals to feel certain moods, or they help create moods in an environment. Thus explaining why certain colors are associated with different moods. For example, the color red is associated with passion/love, the color white means purity, green means envy, and blue is associated with sadness. 

    However, for this picture I chose to depict the lack of color. In a forested area, one may expect to find a lot of green…signifying life or creation. But, since it is winter, the leaves and plants have ceased to exist. This lack of life, and therefore color, allows the image to appear very gloomy and sad. In conclusion, the lack o color highlights the trees lack of life, therefore creation a somber mood.
