    My initial idea for childhood was a picture that differentiated a good childhood versus one that lacked joy. I thought that juxtaposing these two ideas would highlight the effect that certain events have on a child. A good childhood would include, as stated before, joyful time, times with friends and family. On the other hand, a bad childhood would include misfortunate events, and, perhaps, problems at home and/or school. 

    Further exploring this same idea, I came up with the idea of what differentiates adulthood versus childhood. I thought of key events that could only happen to kids, even if their childhood was not the best. This includes things such the easter bunny, the tooth fairy, and Santa Clause. Their naiveness to these lies is what draws them to be kids, and fulfill their childhood fantasies. Thus explaining why I chose to depict the famous moment in which Santa not only eats the cookies and drinks the milk, but delivers joy to the children worldwide.
